Good things happened this week. But I’ll just talk about yesterday, since that was Easter/ the best day of my life.
First of all I am serving in the most celestial ward. The Easter program was amazing. So much talent here. Second of all, we got to teach Sister Carpenter’s (the member we live with) primary class about the Atonement. 11 year olds are much more manageable than 6 year olds. Fact.
Third of all, and most important of all, Sister Carpenter is an angel among men. She made us the cutest Easter treats, and then she invited us to accompany her to visit her late husband’s grave. It was beautiful and touching. Later we went to the Columbine memorial, in honor of the 15th anniversary of that tragic day. Powerful. It was so poignant to reflect on the loss of loved ones while remembering the resurrection of our Lord and Savior. There is infinite hope and healing in and through Jesus Christ.
Fourth of all, we had Easter dinner with Pam Hill, the wife of our ward mission leader, who was out of town this weekend. No one is as good as her. Not only did she feed us, and take us on a lovely walk after dinner, but she invited us over again this morning to pick out fabric for the pillowcases that she is going to make for us. There are so many good people in the world. But specifically in this corner of the world.
And that’s about all I’ve got to say about that.
Love you all. #alwaysforever #sodoesGod
